Went to Carmax after 3 other big dealers looking at the same brand car. Carmax made us the lowest offer for our car, 15000 (KBB15800-16400). All the other dealers offers were over 16000. Carmax had the car we looked at priced over 2000 higher (per Carguru) than average...

Its week 6. The car got to a shop this week. Now we have to wait to see if Maxcare will honor the warranty.

Have purchased 4 vehicles from Carmax. Each vehicle has had several issues. There is obviously a pattern. They are great to deal with before the purchase but after buying a vehicle do not expect any customer service at all. The Cool Springs, TN store is terrible about...

I purchased a 2012 Chevy Traverse in January 2016. Since I have had nothing but issues. I had the car die on me with 3 kids over the weekend so of course there is nothing Carmax can do for me. I luckily had Onstar and they came to help. I had to purchase a battery...

I too bought a car from CarMax for my daughter. They said it was not in any collisions w/ paperwork to 'prove'.
The right doors had window and locking issues, sensor lights were coming on, and eventually the front door wouldn't even open. All with in the first week. Since car was still under factor warranty, I took it to the dealership, and dealer stated they could not fix it since it was in an accident. Really?
Took it back to CarMax for repair and stated that it WAS in an accident. They couldn't have cared less, but said that they would fix it.
After over two months, still no car, and had to hire an attorney to unwind the deal. It's still in process.
