I do have to say that Carmax management did contact me and apologize for the experience I had with the Sanford store. By that time I had already made a deal with Carvana.com on the same model and year vehicle with lower mileage and a better price, so in a round about way, I guess he did me a favor.

My experience with Carvana was the diametric opposite of that of Carmax. It was a very smooth and pleasant car buying experience.

First week of April I contacted a sales person at Carmax looking for a crossover easy to get in and out of. Was told a Nissan Rogue would be arriving in eight days. We said we wanted it and secured a loan on line! six days later we got a call saying Carmax would find a second car as a back up in case the one we wanted did not show. The agreed price on the Nissan was $5995 however once the car arrived it was marked up to almost $10000. Carmax never intended let the Nissan Rogue sell for $5995 even after hearing a recording the salesman quoting $5995.

Paid off my car and it's been 2 months and I still have not received the title to my car. Plus, they still owe me an over payment.

I will no longer buy a car from CarMax. Never again.
