Overall not a happy person!

I was so relieved to have a great experience at first. Then time to get my car and it's been a run around. Instead of letting me know exactly when I can come get my car. It's we will call you. That's not very professional at all. I literally live over a 2 hours away and need a time to get there. It doesn't take hours to respond or just say it will be ready on such a such day. Just wanted to get a straight answer. Now I have been reading all the reviews and I'm starting to get worried. Is my car going to even be there and ready or have I wasted my time.

Refusal to report paid off loan to credit bureaus

I paid off my car in December of 2021. Carmax removed my loan information from all 3 reports and never marked it paid in the. This is hurting my credit! Only took the loan to get credit history.

Repairs on my vehicle

I called the customer service department and explained my situation and since than I have gotten results all repairs are being made as I type hopefully when I receive my car back it will run properly.

User's recommendation: yes, I bought two other vehicles from car max and never had a problemroblem.

Unhappy with treatment

It has taken 3 trips to car max to have the navigation system repaired they finally remove them system for repair and left me with no air conditioning the weather here in California is 97 / 99 with no offer of a vehicle I could use until the repair is done I was there...

Service Department charging seperate pricing for a single Job

I took my 2008 Honda Accord V6 to Carmax service to have shocks, struts, Radiator flush new radiator hose Water pump/serpentine belt replacement. You can buy a complete Water pump/Serpentine belt kit with all the parts including Tensioners. Carmax is charging me seperately for these parts. They also told me that there is a $69 diagnostic fee for each Service that they perform. This is against industry standards and I feel that they are taking advantage of me during this time of Supply/Demand of vehicles using that as leverage to charge me more.

User's recommendation: Don't use Carmax for your Service Center.
