Went in Thursday to get an appraisal on my sons car, came back as an ok offer. His grandfather said go ahead and look on the lot for another car. Found what we thought was a gem, a 2013 Infiniti G37 w only 17k miles, great buy? HHHMMMMM keep reading!
Bought the car, went home noticed the next day there was a HUGE chunk missing out of the sidewall of the front right tire of the car. Called, text, emailed and even called corporate, brought it in to the service bay, the manager Sally said it was ok, service adviser said it was just fine but wouldn't sign anything saying it was safe to drive. "It passed the 125 point inspection, you are fine" was EVERYONES answer. (I PROMISE YOU, if there is an accident or blowout CarMax will regret this decision.
) They said "bring it back, we will refund your money or you can buy two more tires at our cost". Are you kidding me? Also said, we gave you an "Auto-Check" huh, what is that I said.....oh its like CarFax, we gave it to you in your paperwork, not, never got it. Place is a hokey dokey for sure.
As friends call it, it is a Walmart of Used Cars, yikes! Anyhow, buyer beware, you've been warned!! We will NEVER EVER buy a car from CarMax and will tell everyone about our our ordeal. Lame business, always excuses and HORRIBLE customer service.
*I have to admit, our salesperson Adele was AWESOME!
Anyone reading this in the business needs to hire her away, sweet as could be, very outgoing and knowledgeable too! Honestly, CarMax is VERY LUCKY to have her, someone else hire her away!
