I brought my car for service, they said it will take 1 to 2 hours and it will be ready, that was at 9:00 AM. I'm still here waiting, time, 1:19 PM. Just for a regular service. Unbelievable!!!

I purchase a 2013 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport back in August 2015. I had been in an accident and thus needed a vehicle sooner than I had wanted one. So, I got this one. a month or so later, the brakes started squealing badly and the temperature had gone down finally...

purchased a car from car max, got the extended warranty. Clutch went out 3 months later. Would not cover the clutch. Pretty much pushed us out the door.

I don't know of any warranties that cover the clutch. It is considered a wear item like brake pads.

These are just some things that people need to be aware of. You could have taken the car somewhere to get it checked out as they have a 5 day return policy which dealers generally do not have

We walked in to a carmax lot referred by a coworker. We fell in love with a 2009 Honda civic with 113000 miles under its belt. The price tag on this vehicle was $14,000. We are in need of reliable transportation At the moment, my wife and I were inclined to purchase....

Recently purchased a 2011 Chevy Cruze. I loved the car, was able to purchase the warranty and keep my payments super low.

I drove it off the lot thrilled. Within the second day of driving the vehicle I noticed a noise. Later diagnosed as a faulty ac compressor (by my father who is a master technician for about 25 years now.) Go there twice within the same week with the issue still not fixed. They said due to the fact it wasn't broken they wouldn't fix it.

So you're telling me it had to cease up and possibly affect other parts of the vehicle for you to fix it under the warranty? What then is the point of a warranty if you aren't going to fix the issues. I told them I'd be happ to return the car thinking they'd be begging me to stay. Nope they were happy to give up an $18,000 deal for a $200 fix.

This place is garbage.

DO NOT PURCHASE THEIR VEHICLES. I repeat DO NOT, especially not the Chevy Cruze I just returned b/c it won't be fixed.

Carmax - Low Price Promise Review

Carmax playing durty tricks on it's customers. I was at another dealler about to buy same car when i called Carmax and promissed a lower price...based on that promise i drove down 10 miles away, which is tough for me as disable on walker, and bought from Carmax. First - I was Specifacaly told by Carmax sales that price includes registration, but month later i received a 300$ fee from DMV and when i called Carmax all they sad is a long Yeeeees unfortunatly Noooo....s It's fine, i'll pay but if thats where this country going to, where we lie to disable to get him buy from you and then you lie to customer in a face then we no better then we are in deep ***. And a month later car started having problems that Apparently not include in warranty. So...watch out friends. Carmax playing durty tricks on it's customers.

I had a similar experience at Carmax. They are very sketchy and overly friendly. They are only for fools and those too lazy to get good and honest money for their vehicle.

CARMAX SOLD US A SALAVAGE CAR

My company is the victim of careless actions and illegal sales of SALVEGED auto by CARMAX auction. Not only am I out the money from buying back this 2006 Toyota Corolla from my retail client, which I purchased from CARMAX auction, Duarte CAL. on 5/8/2012. I have spent long hours talking to CARMAX people, which none cared. From 05/03/2013 , My first contact with CARMAX representative, till now , more than a month's time ,CARMAX has not taken any action about this illegal activity ,not even a sentence in written form.CARMAX WILL RIP YOU OFF.STAY AWAY FROM THEM.

You said you bought it at a CarMax auction? Don't you know that these are the cars that CarMax won't sell at retail because they are junk?

What did you expect. You deserve what you got

Carmax lowball ripping people off appraisals

KBB has my car it 29k. Edmunds at 28k. Black Book at 27k (as trade in values, not private party as they were higher) I take my car into CarMax and they lowball offered me at 23k... The appraiser was a ***. Car is in excellent condition. Yes excellent as it was bought brand new and is less than a year old ( 2012 Lexus CT hybrid )and he said stuff to the extent that my rear bumper needed repair and repaint. I said, "what???? show me where" as the car is in excellent condition, he points to a "1 inch scratch" that was on the OEM rear bumper clear applique/protector. I said what the ***? its a freaking clear protective sticker that comes off. If you remove that protectant sticker so with the surface scratch on the sticker will come off as well. What repair/repainting needs to be done??? Idiots I tell you.

I think all sales consultants should refuse to go on any test drives BEFORE the appraisal is finished, because a lowball appraisal will kill the deal for sure. The customers should always go watch the appraisers and not walk the lot and waste everyones time.

and..... the sales consultant wasted their time while the appraisal was going on!

So everyone loses out, AND you bsoinak were very insulted by the offer I am sure!

Great job carmax! People, dont waste your precious gas going to carmax.

Hi, I purchased my Murano in September under 2008. The car , for all intents and purposes, was brand new. The five point summary report to me by Carmaxm, via Autocheck, indicated the car "checked out", without any previous accidents, reports, etc. Fast forward to...

In a nutshell when you have an issue along with proof for their service departments incompetence they are unwilling to make it right. I purchased my 2009 Jaguar XF vehicle from Carmax in April 2011 and within 3 months the undertray/shield was dragging on the ground. ...

A splash shield is a very simple piece. Just a few bolts holding on a piece of plastic. I'll bet it was BROKEN when you bought it and both times, carmax just tried to glue it back together.
