CARMAX RUDE NON-PROFESSIONAL SALES MANAGER

This is at the winston salem ,nc store. Sales people are ok but the sales manager who couldn't understand anything but his arrogance. I paid 249 dollars to transfer a car "MDX 2011 with 3300 miles " from virginia, they did there walkthrough while in virgnia which is a joke saying car is new. They car had paint stains and the left passenger door has been 's a used car meddled with and when i pointed it to him he goes well it's a used car what else do you want , we will fix it and then you have to buy it in 3 days , i was determined to know why do we have to fix a door on this car since the images on the car didn't show it had a problem in it. I tried telling him this isn't what you promised and i want my transfer fee. And here comes the trick , he says he doesn't care about what's wrong with the car this was my cost to get it transfered although it has nothing to do with what they checked before transferring it to Winston Salem.Mr. Precious time quoted i ain't got all day for you" Sales Manager" , then what the *** are you here for. This is the type of customer service they give to people buying a 45 Grand car from them expect what is it for smaller cars.

FYI, carmax has RETURNED transfer fees to customers! If they do it for some customers then DEMAND they do it for you!

I have been looking for a vehicle since last october. I have visited the Winston Salem store twice and recently purchased a very nice vehicle with low payments.

The vehicle was exactly what was described to me and both times the sales people were very nice and the process was very professional. Drove 4 hours, but it was well worth the trip !!!!

And it gets better

Carmax replaced the rack and pinion and high pressure hose. They replaced the rear pinion seal last one was month ago and none the rear end is shot,blew going down the freeway. Took it to a dealership and they say Carmax never refilled rear...

Hey turbo66, carmax probably did the inspection, BUT BUT BUT, refused to put anymore money into the vehicle! They (carmax) was hoping it would last the 30 days so YOU (the sucker) would bring it back and PAY THEM TO FIX IT! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA....gotta love these *** ***

Car Max is the worst | Carmax review from Los Angeles, California

In 2009 i baught a 2004 chrysler sebring from carmax. Sice iv had it carmax has spent over $10,000 in repairs on my warranty.Its been in the shop 3 times in the last three weeks,I have begged them to get me out of it. The best they can do is give me $4000 trade in I owe $8,500,and with there high interest rates i cant afford the payment.Also I really dont want to buy any thing from them again. So far corporate wont even call me back.This car is absolute junk, from elect,to mechanical. Carmax is the worst company iv ever seen,run for your life dont buy from them! This car is unsafe,and i think they know it.They should its been in there shop enough times.

The bottom line on appraisals at carmax is MOST of the time, the customer is insulted/unhappy and the sales person is miserable for wasting their time (non-pay for their time on appraisals) Appraisals can go on all day long so anyone can see what a circus it can be to work at carmax. carmax commercials are all about getting the customers IN THE STORE!

I can understand why you would be upset, and you are right. The customer is always right.

I would be uncomfortable also verifying my funds in my account on their computer. It me be safe, but I can see where customers would be uncomfortable doing that.

I would say carmax doesn't care about customers and just wants to sell the vehicle so all can be paid. Managers get a bonus for making the budget for the day, and believe me, they will do ANYTHING to make their paycheck.
