I Reserved & paid for a car to be shipped from Mississipi Carmax to Texas my money was taken from my account & the car was sold in Mississippi & never shipped & no one told me anything until I called today 3/10/22 I paid for it to be shipped on 2/24/22 no one was going to call me & tell me the car had been sold or anything but kept my money I have receipts from my payment stock number of the vehicle & I need answers & my money back or there will be a lawsuit!

Wrongly charged

Hello my account somehow got set up for auto payments which i didnt know until i got an email saying it was processing my payment of 255 however i did not have that in my account so this brought my account into negative. I would like this reversed so that my checking account is not in negative.

Did not reserve car after paymebt

Reserved a car to be transferred to a location closer to my home. Paid $200 transfer fee. The car traveled and communication went silent. I did not receive any follow-up calls from carmax to provide status. When I reached out (a week after transfer date) they said the car had been delayed by paint repairs. (no paint repairs were needed prior to transfer. and no reason was given for why the repairs were now needed). After a second call to the sales office I was told the car was accidentally loaned to another customer. After repeated attempts to contact sales, business office and customer office and recieving promises that someone would call me back, no resolution was reached.

User's recommendation: do not shop at carmax. no accountability and terrible customer service.

Mislead and misinformed

I applied for a vehicle online through through the CarMax Hartford CT location. I told the agent on the phone That I had owed money on my car but not more than what was processed for a trade value. They were aware I had a trade and did not ask me any details about it. After running my credit twice, once for the pre approval and again for the actual credit app, I was informed that CarMax does not purchase vehicles from Honda. This was again after I got approved for the loan and my credit had two hard inquiries on it. Not a very good experience and personally feel as if I was misinformed about this. Now I have a useless hard inquiry on my credit report that I feel should not be there.

CarMax - Poor service
I will never by a car from CarMax again I spent $70000 at CarMax in August 2021 on two Land Rover,my 2017 land Rover discovery started leaking water in November CarMax did a lousy job fixing it so I have lots of water in my car than my electrical stop working they have my car for a total of over sixty days now Im a 100% disabled veteran trust me CarMax only cares about money not us

Plates haven't arrived

Hello, I purchased my car more than a month ago. When it was delivered, they told me that they were going to mail my plates, and it will take two weeks to arrive. After many attempts to reach them out they finally they called me to tell me that it is better if I go to the DMV myself because there is a delay and pick them up, pay for it and then ask them for a refund. A total waste of time. No solution, just more red tape.

User's recommendation: Good selling cars, but then they completely abandon you.

I bought a Ford Expedition EL Limited, 2017 model, in August of 2020. It was disclosed to me that the vehicle had been in a collision. I was assured there was no frame or structural damage. My vehicle is in the shop because a deer hit the side of my vehicle. Upon tear down it was discovered there was severe bumper damage. I have left a message for the service manager, emailed Charles Hernandez, and emailed one other address and have not heard back from anyone. These emails were sent early last week. I bought this from the North Houston location. Can someone please reach out to me???

Horrible Customer Service

Once they have your money they GHOST you. I returned a car and have yet to receive a refund check. It's $27,000 which is a large amount of money. Car Max staff is refusing to take my calls and is giving me the round around regarding the refund policy. I've called twice to speak with the manager and each time I've been placed on hold for almost an hour. This is horrible customer service! I will tell everyone on my social media what a rip off this location is and not to shop there.
