CarMax offered me $6k for my 2013 Prius C with only 64k mikes. The car did not have a single problem and an excellent condition. The sales guy told me that the floor pan was damaged. This was not true. The car was completed repaired after minor accidents. I think the...

Not happy with my experience. This dealership has a lot of good reviews, and the place is nice and clean. To be fair I may have just gotten a poor salesmen. Alas one bad experience reflects on the entire company. I arranged for financing in advance, sent in everything...

I do have to say that Carmax management did contact me and apologize for the experience I had with the Sanford store. By that time I had already made a deal with Carvana.com on the same model and year vehicle with lower mileage and a better price, so in a round about way, I guess he did me a favor.

My experience with Carvana was the diametric opposite of that of Carmax. It was a very smooth and pleasant car buying experience.

Bait and switch | Carmax review from Winslow, New Jersey

First week of April I contacted a sales person at Carmax looking for a crossover easy to get in and out of. Was told a Nissan Rogue would be arriving in eight days. We said we wanted it and secured a loan on line! six days later we got a call saying Carmax would find a second car as a back up in case the one we wanted did not show. The agreed price on the Nissan was $5995 however once the car arrived it was marked up to almost $10000. Carmax never intended let the Nissan Rogue sell for $5995 even after hearing a recording the salesman quoting $5995.

Found a vehicle on their website located in Clearwater Florida. For a $200.00 transport fee CarMax stated that they would transfer the car to South Carolina with in a set amount of time. This car was left Clearwater, Florida according to their records on March 5, 2019....

Assuming you used a credit and not a debit card to pay the $200 fee, dispute the charge, altho there was probably some sort of disclaimer stating the fee was non-refundable. Check this out by going to their site and reading what you signed up for again.

My son wanted to purchase a vehicle. He went to Carmax in Calgary. His credit is abysmal, BUT he had just started a new job with an excellent wage. He couldn't qualify for a loan. Carmax suggested he find a co-signer. When I worked in banking many years ago, the policy...

I agree with @CloseBeetle176. I understand your age, however, I feel as though you must have had some good faith in your son and thought/hoped he would pay for the truck because you signed off on the loan, your question is a question you should have asked before agreeing to allow your son to buy a car.

Also, there have been many instances when people can walk into any car dealership with no income at all but because they have stellar credit they are approved. You do not need a job to get an approval because if anything the fact that you have great credit can also mean that you may possibly have a great credit card to back up the payments or cost of the vehicle if something like what actually happened to your son happens! Hopefully, you don't put too much faith into your son again and let him talk you into buying him another car.

Good Luck! That was nice of you to help but only you know your son which means you doubted the situation in the beginning.

I purchased a 2007 VW Jetta from CarMax in July 2016. It had 88K and seemed to be in good condition. I specifically told the salesperson that I was looking for a car because the A/C went out in mine and the car was really old and I didn't want to dump money into it for...

Sorry this happened to you but Jetta's tend to have those problems and not to mention you purchased an 2007 with 88k miles, that's quite a lot. luxury car engines are known to last up to 300k miles or more but a jetta is questionable. Good Luck.
