Modifications of any vehicle will negatively impact the value. You are better off putting it on ebay

On 06/17/08 I purchased a 2008 Tahoe from your Jacksonville store. After working with Corrie everyday for a week straight faxing paperwork in to get financed. Corrie asked a salesman to give me a call in which the salesman did. The next day I went down to the showroom...

I purchased a Chevy Trail Blazer last summer @ a Charlotte NC location and did also purchase a 3 year extended warranty. Carmax skips hoops & jumps barrels when making the sale then something goes wrong and just try to get service! October the 'service engine...

He may have been fishing or boating that day, but thats besides the point. The point is you will shopping somewhere else.

Service
Carmax Vehicle Inspection

*** cars at carmax.

I bought a 2002 Land Rover Discovery at Carmax. I took the car to a Land Rover dealership to get fully inspected. Cost me $500.00. I am so happy that I did. I got 4 pages of things that needed to be repaired or replaced. I was in shocked since they boast about their so called inspection. I did not return the car right away. Instead I gave them the list and they fixed almost everything. After that happened I returned the car. I only did that for the next person who was going to buy the car. I since went to a Land ROver dealership and purchased a land rover that was a 2004, had a DVD player and was certified for 8K more. It was worth it. I do not reccomend Carmax at all to anyone.

LadyScot, read this post!! I have been saying all along, CARMAX DOES NOT FIX ALL PROBLEMS WITH THEIR VEHICLES!Thats WHY THEY COST LESS!!!!

What a scam. I hope people are reading these posts. I recommend going to a real dealership and buy a certified vehicle if you want to buy used.

carmax 125 point inspection is just a gimmick to make the customer feel confident. Nothing can be further than the truth.

Stay away from Columbus Easton CARMAX

I recently went to CarMax to look at a used car. The first thing I told the salesman was "I don't need financing, I allready have obtained it through my Bank." No problem he says. After seeing the car I liked he goes into power sell mode. He said he needed some personal info, i.e. SS#, JOB TITLE , Annual income? Like a fool i gave it to him and wham He had loans for me to take the car home that day. I did not ask him to do that, he slyly said it was for their records. I took an 8 point credit hit on my credit report because I WAS ***.! DON'T LET THIS HAPPEN TO YOU! DON'T GIVE OUT YOUR SS#!!!!

Bull! If a customer comes in with cash none of that is suppose to be asked! Just a buyers order with a balance.

you're an ***, it doesn't matter if you're paying cash or financing, the dealer uses the ss number to double check to make sure you are whom you say you are. and it doesn't matter what dealer you go to, they all will make you fill out a short credit app. even paying cash

I am going through the same thing here in Colorado Springs and searching for an attorney. What type of attorney did you obtain, business law, etc?

I also have contacted the CO Dept of Revenue and they have agreed to investigate. CO law says a title must be provided within 30 days.

Carmax Ripped me off! Nightmare!

I've been a long time Carmax customer. Now I feal hurt and betrayed. My car is 4 months old and developed a rod knock, CarMax looked at it and told me to bring it to Ford. Ford notifed the warrenty co. for repair athurization, so did I and Carmax. The warrenty co was also invited to come to the dealer to listen to the noise. It was discovered that there was heavy scorring on the cam shaft and rod bearings and clyinder walls and the engine would need to be replaced. However since they don't know which part was making the sound, its my responsability to pay for the dissasembly of this engine and all repairs. What did I do wrong? I only had this car for 4500 miles and I have changed the oil. I have contacted Jeff at their customer service center, but the local guys at the Charlotte office are now not even returning my calls.
