CarMax - Vehicle Discovered To Be In An Accident Prior to Sale-Never Revealed
I purchased a Corvette from CarMax. Garage kept, low mileage (62,000), and well cared for by me (2ND owner).
Took it into Carmax for an appraisal. Only offered $10,000. Decided to take it to another dealer for an appraisal, which was very helpful. They ran a Carfax Report, which revealed the vehicle had been in an accident, while in CarMax's possession, and just prior to selling it to me.
Needless to say, CarMax tried to explain it away by saying they use AutoCheck. Now the vehicle is not worth very much, because any potential buyer will question the damage.
Reason of review: Damaged or defective.
Monetary Loss: $15000.
Preferred solution: Full refund.
Location: Washington, District Of Columbia

My wife bought a volvo 2011 from carmax.
Prior to selling it , it had an accident that carmax disclosed but could not tell us the
nature of the accident it had till this day.Carmax sold the car the price it would have been without an accident. That is deadly wrong.
Yes it is.
They disclosed the accident and you still bought the car? HMMMM. I hope you don't make decisions like that all the time.
