Carmax complaint
We bought a car from Carmax Duarte CA and the next day we were trying to drive it to Palm Springs and both back tires went flat! We were barely able to exit the freeway and were stuck in a remote area where we could've been robbed until our tow truck service came. Under the circumstances I didn't want the tires especially after financing almost $20,000 for a car and told them to replace them. They didn't want to do that even though their mechanic admitted to me the valve stems were on wrong, so I took the car back and didn't pay them a cent!

Regarding our trade in, we didn't! They offered my husband $50 (yes fifty) for our 90 Chevy Lumina which I could get at least $800 for it front of my house so we kept the Lumina and drove it away from Carmax'[s lot when we returned their car.

It never fails, these people wasting everyones time with empty comments defending the subject of peoples complaints. These same people probably look for posts just so they can do this. My junkyard Lumina gets me around quite nicely. This individual probably has never dealt with Carmax. :roll

If I were a dealer I wouldn't have even considered your trade-in. It's obvious by their offer they were trying to avoid taking the trade-in. Think about it from their perspective, how much money can one make from selling a 1990 Lumina? It's junk yard material!
