CarMax - Harassment in the workplace (fountainhead drive, San Antonio)
I have been with CarMax for nine months now, I have dealt with harassment for my physical disability this entire time i've been employed in the tech bay. It's been a lousy experience to say the least with two-faced technicians all around who will do anything including sabotage a car to make extra flagged time for pay.
The training was a joke, I was promised a year OJT and received four months (of which my "mentor" didn't actually teach). They are all too concerned about throwing cars out the shop ASAP and not enough focus on train for quality and getting the job done right the first time.
Sad to say I expected to enjoy my job but hey better things come along. I would not recommend a tech position at this San Antonio location and beware the scammers working on your vehicles customers.

Cycle time is the name of the game. The quicker you get cars out of the shop, the more money they make. The problem is that many stores game the system by moving zone cones or scanning vehicles to incorrect zones to stop the clock.
I am very happy reading your post because I know exactly what you saying. I love the posts by actual employees that see what's going on at carmax. A top 100 company to work for is TOTAL BS!
