Carmax Ripped me off! Nightmare!

I've been a long time Carmax customer. Now I feal hurt and betrayed. My car is 4 months old and developed a rod knock, CarMax looked at it and told me to bring it to Ford. Ford notifed the warrenty co. for repair athurization, so did I and Carmax. The warrenty co was also invited to come to the dealer to listen to the noise.

It was discovered that there was heavy scorring on the cam shaft and rod bearings and clyinder walls and the engine would need to be replaced.

However since they don't know which part was making the sound, its my responsability to pay for the dissasembly of this engine and all repairs.

What did I do wrong? I only had this car for 4500 miles and I have changed the oil.

I have contacted Jeff at their customer service center, but the local guys at the Charlotte office are now not even returning my calls.
