Carmax complaint by Jus4r5nus2
We recently had an experience w/ Carmax. In November 2007, we bought a 2004 Ford Explorer from the fredericksburg location. Well when driving to Florida for a family vacation with myself, my husband and 3 children in March 2008, doing 65 mph down 95 all 5 of our passenger rear lug nuts broke and our tire went flying. Luckily no one was hurt, but, CarMax is saying its not their fault, even though 3 weeks prior we had taken it in to be serviced with the complaints of it pulling to the right when braking. They said they checked the brakes and rotors and everything was ok. Well after we called them with the info about what happened, they are saying that they never took the tires off to inspect the brakes & rotors. They said they used a tempature gauge and looked through the rims! WTF?! So now we are at the point of trying to take them to court to 1. get them to pay for the reapairs we already paid for, plus the remaining damage, and 2. make this known to the public on what a crappy company carmax actually is. They should stand behind the vehicle that they sell. So we are trying to get anyone & everyone who also have had issues to come together!. I posted this already, but want to tell you directly that we bought a car from Carmax Duarte CA and both back tires went flat on the freeway the next day when we tried to take a fun ride in the "new" car! I refused to keep the car or exchange it because I saw firsthand how toxic they are! You could've been killed! Someone else could've been killed! We could've been killed! Someone is going to be killed! Someone has probably been killed already and we just don't know about it, and we need to find out if they have! Sue! Sue! Sue! Please get as much as you can! None of what happening is okay! Guess who owns the domain name Carmaxsucks.com , Carmax own it!
