I too worked for
Carmax I was attracred to the company because they had been voted best company to work for 4 consecutive years by Fortune magazine. Fortune is either not asking the right people or doesnt read this site. I had worked for the company for a year, then I became ill and had to go on
disability. somehow my
paperwork was either not processed or was processed incorrectly and unbeknownst to me they continued to deposit my paycheck. I returned to work 4 mos after a yearlong hospilization only to be treated like
dirt by my manager when I got back because I was viewed as a thief for getting the erroneous chevks they even suggested that my daughter or a friend had probaly taken the money while I was in the hospitsal. when I wouldnt fess up they asked me to resign with the condition that I would not take any legal action but did nothing to the mabager that screwed up the
paperwork to begin with. I was able to find a lawyer that came to an agreement with them to allow me to resign and retain my rights. so I quietly left. This is no way to treat people because the are disabled. but I know that karma will be the
best revenge. i will never buy anything from them or try ever to work for them or the management there again. my manager was so busy sleeping with the other dept managers she didnt have time to properly do her job.
